Dolphins sign veteran OL, cut rookie QB Brett Gabbert
The Miami Dolphins signed veteran offensive lineman Daniel Brunskill on Tuesday and cut ties with undrafted rookie quarterback Brett Gabbert, the team announced.
Brunskill, 31, spent the first seven seasons of his career with the Atlanta Falcons and San Francisco 49ers before spending the last two years with the Tennessee Titans. The versatile lineman has made starts at tackle, guard, and center during his career and started 24 games in his two seasons with Tennessee.
In a corresponding roster move, the Dolphins moved utility offensive lineman Liam Eichenberg to the physically unable to perform (PUP) list.
Earlier this year, the Dolphins allowed offensive linemen Isaiah Wynn and Robert Jones to reach free agency, and signed former Pittsburgh Steelers guard James Daniel to a three-year deal. Miami also selected lineman Jonah Savaiinaea in the second round of the 2025 NFL draft.
Gabbert, the younger brother of former first-round draft pick Blaine Gabbert, signed with the Dolphins earlier this year after participating in the team's rookie minicamp on a tryout contract.
